What time does your tour start? The experience starts about 2 hours before sunset. This means the actual time will vary slightly from week to week. You will receive a text message within 24 hours of your tour with exact times.
Is the tour guided or do we go by ourselves? All the night tours are guided by our experienced guides. Safety, fun and relaxation are the goals of this experince!
Do you offer shuttle service to your location? Shuttle service is available for hotel guests. Maps and directions will be provided for other participants.
Are there restrooms or changing rooms on your property? Restrooms are accessible at the Commodore Hotel, just a 2-minute drive from the riverfront property.
What is the minimum age for your tour? 5 years of age
Are the night kayak tours private? How many people go on the tour? We are limited to 10 kayakers per tour.
What is the weight limit of the kayaks? Single kayak 250lbs Double kayak 350lbs for two people combined weight.
What do you recommend we wear for the kayak tour? Are we going to get wet? Shorts and T-shirts. Breathable long sleeve shirts are ideal in case it's buggy. Wear shoes that can get wet and have STRAPS on them. Flip flops usually break, fall off & float away. You will be stepping in the water when gettin in and our of your kayak. Some parts fo the river have gravel, so foot coverings make the trip more enjoyable.
Is it buggy there at night, are there mosquitoes? Can we use the bug spray? Yes, it can be. Bug spray is recommended. Our guides carry bug spray and wipes, so you can use ours if needed.
Do you have lockers where we can leave our valuables? No. Leave all you valuables in your hotel room or in your vehicle.
Can we bring drinks? Is alcohol allowed? You may bring one bottle of water or nonalcoholic drink. We will provide 1 bottle of water during the tour. You need to be alert and able to react quickly to do this tour. If you show signs of intoxication, we will refuse service and you will not be refunded. Your safety is our priority.
What are we going to see on this tour? Keep an eye our for turtles, frogs, eagles, deer, great blue herons, fish, turkeys, owls and other species which are native to our area.
What is your cancellation policy? Minimum 48hrs notice before scheduled tour to receive full refund - that gives us a chance to resell your tickets. we reserve the right to cancel the tour for safety reasons, i.e. weather etc. If we cancel the tour - everybody receives full refund. refunds usually take around 10 business days to process and reflect on your credit card.
When will it be over? The evening ends about 30 minutes after coming ashore. Once ashore, you may make your own s'mores and enjoy some bottled water around the campfire before heading home or back to the hotel.
Is camping at the landing site allowed? We have two RV sites available.
