The hotel and café has been featured in numerous regional magazine and newspaper articles highlighting the owner’s resurrection of a historic landmark as a catalyst of reviving Linden. They are often invited to speak at conferences and seminars to tell their story of rural preservation.
We also have great luncheon entrees available, including our popular Dixie Chicken, named for a song about “The Commodore Hotel” – to our Linden Burger – a half pound of select beef, hand-patted and seasoned in our kitchen, then topped with caramelized onions, melted cheddar cheese, and Linden sauce.
This sauce, of our own creation, was created from customer suggestions – a sweet and zesty, dark Buffalo Chipotle sauce. Buffalo in honor of the nearby Buffalo River, not the famous hot wing sauce! Breakfast is no stranger to our chefs, either. Customers return again and again for our Kitchen Sink omelet – a giant, plate-overlapping creation including two cheeses and just about every vegetable and breakfast meat you can think of! It has everything, but….. (You knew that was coming…)

From our front foyer with a sepia mural of the hotel in 1946 to our garden, hich provides seasonal produce for our restaurant, a delightful stroll is designed to help digest your meal. Our garden features a fence made by a local basket weaver, her biggest basket ever, and a 12’ diameter hand cut glass sundial. While taking your stroll to the garden you will notice a beautiful courthouse on the National Register of Historic Properties, a Civil War Marker detailing the downtown Civil War Battle, and numerous public art projects offering a kaleidoscope of color and highlighting local talent. For the activity-minded, we have horse shoes, a children’s play area and the town features unique boutiques, galleries and gift shops. Or just relax and sit in our beautifully landscaped foyer surrounded by colorful, seasonal flowers or numerous benches throughout the town.
We look forward to seeing you sometime in the near future! If you have any questions or would like to make reservations, please call us at 931.589.3224. Our e-mail address is info@commodorelinden.com
